BLACK COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
DUE: MARCH 17, 2025
AMOUNT: $5,000
DETAILS:

This fund was established by the Black Community Fund Board of Directors to provide scholarship support to African-American students from the Greater Kansas City area seeking educational advancement through a college or university degree or accredited certificate program in areas and fields determined by the Black Community Fund Board of Directors.

Students eligible for assistance shall be:

-       African-American heritage; and

-       At the time of application, reside in the six (6) county Kansas City metropolitan area (Jackson, Platte, Clay and Cass counties in Missouri, Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas); and

-       A graduating high school senior, a current college student, or an adult seeking educational or career advancement through an accredited degree or certification program at a two- or four-year college and/or nonprofit technical school.

NKCH ORGAN DONATION SCHOLARSHIP

The North Kansas City Hospital Donor Council invites you to participate in our annual scholarship opportunity.

Eligibility:

-       Must be a junior or senior attending a Northland High School or a NKCH employee’s child who is a junior or senior in high school.

CALVIN C. WAINRIGHT FAITH & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AWARD
DUE: MARCH 29, 2025

DETAILS:

The Calvin C. Wainright Memorial Foundation would like to formally recognize a Greater Kansas City high school senior who has assumed the task of serving his/her community; is striving to achieve academic excellence; demonstrates that their service within our community embodies their faith and spiritual belief which has helped shape their level of engagement; and desires to move to their next level of success. The Foundation seeks to provide annual scholarship assistance to deserving high school students as they pursue their educational goals at a college/university; or certification/vocational/technical level.

Eligibility:

-       High school senior within the Greater Kansas City area graduating in the Class of 2025.

-       Must be pursuing enrollment at a college/university; or certification/vocational/technical education.

-       Has maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA.

MSPE WESTERN CHAPTER 2025 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
DUE: MARCH 31, 2025
AMOUNT: Two $3,000 scholarships
DETAILS:

This scholarship is provided for graduating high school seniors who have a genuine interest in engineering and are preparing to attend an approved school of engineering.

Eligibility:

-       Be a high school senior

-       Be a citizen of the United States at the time of application

-       Have at least a 3.0 grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale) for the 10th and 11th grades

-       Have at least a minimum score on the ACT test of 29 in Math and 25 in English. Equivalent minimum SAT scores of 950 in Math and 750 in English are also acceptable.

-       Must enroll in an engineering program that has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET-EAC) at one of the following state institutions or a Pre-Engineering Program at a College or University that has a working agreement to transfer credits with one of the named schools listed below.

EMERGING SPORTS LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 1, 2025
AMOUNT: Five $5,000 scholarships
DETAILS:

Five Emerging Sports Leaders Scholarships will provide financial assistance to students whose lives have been impacted by the sport of soccer. This scholarship is available for all high school seniors with post-secondary plans at a university, college, trade, or vocational school. (Participation in collegiate soccer is not required.)

Eligibility:

-       High School Senior with post-secondary education plans at a university, college, trade, or vocational school

-       2.5 GPA or higher

-       Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to community service

SHOW-ME TO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 1, 2025
AMOUNT: Up to $2,000 per academic year
DETAILS:

A private scholarship for students with a Student Aid Index of 12,000 or less, a GPA of 3.50 or higher at a Missouri high school, and a proven record of community service, extracurricular participation, and/or work experience.

Eligibility:

-       Missouri resident.

-       2025 high school seniors who will be enrolled full-time at an eligible Missouri public or private higher education institution in the fall of 2025. See eligible schools list.

-       Have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 12,000 or less as determined on the FAFSA.

-       Earned a cumulative 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale weighted or unweighted GPA through at least seven semesters at a Missouri high school.

-       Show involvement in activities such as participation in clubs, organizations, sports, community service, employment, and/or family caregiving.

THE LINKS SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 1, 2025
DETAILS:

The Greater Kansas City (MO) Chapter Links Scholarship Committee awards college scholarships to high-achieving students of African American descent from the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Eligibility:

-       African American descent

-       Currently enrolled in a Kansas City metropolitan area high school

-       Graduating senior who has completed their first semester

-       Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 weighted scale

-       NOT related to a member of the Links organization

2025 HIGH SCHOOL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 4, 2025
AMOUNT: Five $3,000 scholarships
DETAILS:

The Liberty Hospital Foundation annually awards one-time scholarships to elite, local high school seniors who wish to pursue a career in nursing.

Eligibility:

-       Be, on April 4, 2025, a high school senior that wishes to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing

-       Have maintained an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

-       Have been accepted to and expected to attend a four-year college or university

-       Complete and submit a timely formal application

NKCNEA ELAINE NICK EDUCATOR SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 4, 2025
AMOUNT: Four $1,000 scholarships
DETAILS:

Eligibility:

-       Graduating senior from a North Kansas City School District high school

-       Plans to pursue a degree in education and a career in teaching

HIGH SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 7, 2025
AMOUNT: $1,000
DETAILS:

Xi Tau Omega Chapter was chartered July 16, 1983, in Grandview, Missouri. For close to 42 years, our chapter has proudly served the Greater Kansas City community. One of our major focuses is to promote and support youth development and leadership through helping families access resources and services they may need. We are committed to bringing our time and talents to help youth build good character and citizenship for overall success.

Eligibility:

-       African-American high school senior, graduating in May/June 2025 from a high school in the Greater Kansas City area.

-       Cumulative GPA of 2.50 or above.

-       United States Citizen.

-       Plan to attend a four-year college or university in the fall of 2025.

GLADSTONE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 11, 2025
AMOUNT: At least three $1,000 scholarships
DETAILS:

This scholarship was established for high school students who will graduate from the North Kansas City School District or St. Pius X High School.

Eligibility:

-       The applicant must be a graduating senior in the class of 2025.

-       The applicant must plan to pursue a post-secondary program of study at a two- or four-year institution or technical/trade school.

-       The applicant must have maintained a 2.75 GPA or higher during high school career.

-       When scoring this application, special emphasis is placed on community service, work experience and family financial needs.
