One of America's Most Challenging High Schools

North Kansas City High School has been designated by the Washington Post as one of the nation's most challenging high schools! This is the 7th year in a row that Northtown has been recognized by the national publication. Schools that receive this designation rank in the top 10% of all high schools in the country. North Kansas City is also one of only 20 schools in Missouri to be honored.

The Washington Post grants this distinction to high schools based on a combination of achievements by each year's graduating class. Students at North Kansas City took full advantage of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and college-level offerings. In addition to success in these courses throughout the year, students achieved high marks on the corresponding end-of-the-year exams.
